A few years ago, I began experimenting
with simple, small applique designs. I made some quilts with the
intention of having them framed. About the same time, my husband opened
a small factory in China to manufacture climbing equipment.
As my husband's knowledge of Chinese manufacturing and contacts grew, he encouraged me to have my small quilts reproduced in China. Through his contacts I met many terrific people in a small village we visited. I send them fabric and they hand appliqué and quilt all of the pieces. I then launder the finished work and frame them myself.
These framed quilts can be found at the Stitchin Post, Twigs and the Sisters Movie House, all in Sisters, Oregon. They are also illustrated in my book.
